The Jetty Crew Adventures is a delightful children's book series designed for ages 4–10. With engaging stories and charming watercolor illustrations set along Florida’s Treasure Coast, it captivates young minds while instilling values of kindness and faith.
The first book in the series, Captain Calls the Crew celebrates friendship. Together, the friends dream, laugh, and discover the power of creating something bigger than themselves: the Crew Code. This set of promises will guide their journeys: reminding them to lead with love, share joy, choose peace, practice patience, and show kindness, courage, and faith in every adventure ahead.
With the waves as their backdrop and the shore as their stage, children will be inspired to think about the values that shape their own friendships and families. Blending storytelling with character development, Jetty Crew Adventures: Captain Calls the Crew helps young readers celebrate one another and incorporate teamwork in a fun and memorable way.
Meet the Author
Sally Brown is the creative heart behind The Jetty Crew Adventures. A Vero Beach–based photographer, designer, educator, and storyteller, her work is deeply rooted in community, place, and the belief that stories shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.
Across every season of her life...as a teacher, photographer, mother, and now author...storytelling has been the common thread. Her work honors the roots that ground us while celebrating the way we grow, branch out, and evolve over time. Just like the citrus groves that have long defined this area, Sally believes strong roots give us the confidence to reach toward curiosity, creativity, and becoming who we are truly meant to be.
The Jetty Crew was created as a love letter to coastal life, friendship, and faith. Inspired by the animals who call the nearby Fort Pierce Jetty home, the stories unfold across familiar landmarks along the Treasure Coast, with the Jetty serving as the heart of the adventures...a place where families gather, imaginations run free, and memories are made.
Through every project she oversees - whether a portrait, a design, or a story - Sally hopes to nurture a spirit of lifelong learning, spark wonder, and remind people that growth doesn’t mean leaving your roots behind. It means carrying them with you as you continue to grow.
